Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
As you browse our site, you can add products to your shopping basket. This will add a "cookie" to your PC. This cookie only stores details of the items you have selected and contains no personal information. If you have set your site to deny all cookies then you will not be able to shop online. In these circumstances you can email us your order. You can reach the shopping basket by clicking on the "basket" button on the top of any page. If you change your mind, the shopping basket will allow you to remove or change the quantity of any product you have added. If you run out of time, your basket will be saved in fact, as long as you use the same computer, the contents of your basket will be saved until you either clear them or complete your purchase.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

Our prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT. The final price is shown in the shopping cart in pounds sterling (£).
Payment is required prior to goods being shipped. When you place an order by credit or debit card we merely pre-authorise the transaction. Only when we take a deposit or when the goods are ready for shipment do we take the actual payment. Where an item is being made to order we reserve the right to take 50% of the total cost on order and the balance on shipment. For 'off the peg items' we do not debit your card until the goods are ready for shipment.

The Right to Cancel an Order.
Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations you have a right to a cooling off period of seven days from the date of contract. However, the regulations state that certain contracts are excluded from the right to cancel such as a contract for the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications (regulation 13). This applies to most goods that we sell. Where this is not the case we shall so advise you.
It should be clearly understood that this website, and any other advertising, is classified as an invitation to treat, rather than an offer which is capable of being accepted. A legally binding contract comes into enforce only when we email you to confirm that we can accept your order and expect to fulfil it within the agreed dates. It should further be understood that we shall always endeavour to meet any agreed delivery dates but that no guarantees can be made. Any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in the Scotland and will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of Scotland, and you irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
Shipping And Handling
Within the UK Shipping is free although we do apply a handling charge of £5.00 to all orders.
You may choose to pay a surcharge to have urgent orders sent by an alternative method.
For orders that are outwith the UK, you are shown the available option(s) at the checkout.
International orders are generally received in under 21 days. If goods are out of stock we shall so advise you together with the anticipated replenishment date. One reason we can keep our prices so low is that we avoid holding stock. Therefore the likelihood is that your goods will have to be ordered from the manufacturer and they generally insist on shipping to us - we then have to send on to you.
When we supply bespoke or made-to-order goods (that is to say that an item is made to your requirements) they will normally be despatched within 6 weeks. If there is any change to this we will advise you before we ask you to commit to the purchase. Bespoke goods include most tailored garments and any special tartans.

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 15% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero .

Many of our products are bespoke and we can only consider a return for thse items if there is a defect in the product. As we carefully check our goods before shipment we trust this will not happen. However, in this unlikely event, please contact us within seven days of receipt for a return number. On receipt of the goods we shall examine them, and where appropriate we shall replace the goods or refund your credit card.
Under no circumstances should goods be returned without a return number. Most of our goods are high value items and responsibility for them remains with the customer until they are returned in original condition to us. The customer will be responsible for all return shipping and insurance costs. When we issue a return number we shall advise you of the return address and any necessary customs documentation.
