Hi Rene Just a thought. There may be some male Livingstones back in your history you don't know about. One way you could try to find one is through autosomal DNA which normally goes back to 4 generations. Yes that is correct R-FT134647 for both my male Livingstone cousin Phillip Livingstone and for Ronald L Livingstone II. Both have done Big Y. Ronald lives in North Carolina (John Livingston/Liveston b. abt 1751 Forfar)

Thanks Donald for the feedback. The fact that they are a direct match on the Big Y means they are from the same male line. I agree with you as it seems the 1600's is a good guess. Also Genetic Distance of 5 at 111 markers. I assume Edwin Livingstone might also be in the same grouping but not tested ...
