Hi All
Interestingly there are still many MacKinleys in the area of North River. Presently Ron MacKinley is the provincial Minister of highways and he is from North River.

Re: Nova Scotia/PEI Livingstone Research
Hi Donald I drop in every now and then to check things. I had an interesting phone call this evening. A Livingstone descendent of Duncan Livingstone of Cape Breton. Old Kate is a descendent of hers. I gave her the URL to this forum and she is looking forward to contacting you. She has alot of valuab...

Re: Nova Scotia/PEI Livingstone Research
Oh no. I have Uncles Archibald and John (Jackie) Livingstone. They each have one son each too. It is interesting out of a family in which I have over 30 1st cousins on my Livingstone side only two have the Livingstone name. I just have to raise the money for the test, and I think it will be doeable....

Re: Nova Scotia/PEI Livingstone Research
Yes I would love to have found the original, but I didn't have the family names before, so I am still happy. Sometimes I stumble across stuff, so don't give up hope. Also I received this from Krista at the Beaton Institute. I'll have to find someone with an account or who is an member. >>>>>>>>>>>>>...

Re: Nova Scotia/PEI Livingstone Research
Hi Donald I found something and I would like your opinion on it. It is a death certificate for an Ann Livingston and she is living in New York after the death of her husband Alexander of Cape Breton. The peron looking after the burial arrangements is Duncan Livingston. What do you think? Is it the s...

Re: Possible Scenario for Colin's Son John - stone cutter
Hi Donald I can get my uncle or cousin to do the DNA test. I just have to scratch together the funds. My wife just started a new job and she had been only working part-time, so it will take awhile to catch up. Did Dr. St. Clair do the DNA test, and if so what are the results of that test for him? I ...

Possible Scenario for Colin's Son John - stone cutter
Hi Donald I know this is speculation, but I have found somewhat of a scenario. If you look at the 1891 census for PEI you will see a John Livingston, Colin's son, and his wife, living in lot 62, Wood Island's. This coincides with the deed. You will notice that he is listed as a stone cutter. I don't...

Uploaded files from the archives.
Hi Donald and anyone else interested I uploaded scanned images of the documents from the provincial archives. At the beginning page of the forum you will notice a link that says "recent uploaded" files. Click on that link and then you will see the documents. Please remove them after you sa...

Re: Saving old forum posts
Hi All If it is possible can we have a copy of the old discussion forum, including the database for personal use? It is possible to be able to set it up on your own computer and run it without needing an internet connection. I know Windows 2000 Professional has a personal web server built-in the ver...
