Re: Donald Livingstone

Donald, A correction to my previous post. Donald's first wife was born in 1823 according to Canadian Census records. Euphemia McDougall was born about 1828, again based on Canadian Census record. This means Effie would have died in 1912. In regard to a death certificate for Donald, are you gathering...

Re: Donald Livingstone

Donald, More excellent information. Thanks. Regarding the grave sites, Donald is listed as being 103 years old when he died. And Effie was 84. Given she was born in 1823 (Canadian Census information), she would have died in 1906. I found information in a pamphlet from the York Farmers Colonization C...

Re: Donald Livingstone

Donald, Thank you for all your effort. You've done a great job gather details on Donald's family. I agree with you on all accounts. It seems likely that when Donald died in 1921, his death certificate would indicate his parent's names. This informatin would resolve the 1818 vs 1830 date for his birt...

I have a notice about Donald's death that reads: Died at Yorkton, Saskatdhewan, Thursday May 5, 1921, Donald...

Re: Donald Livingstone

Donald, Much thanks for all your effort to locate heirs of Donald Livingstone. Do you know if records were kept of Mull citizens who owned property. Donald Livingstone at one time owned a house. Are there newspapers from the mid-1800s or earlier that were printed in Mull? Again, thanks for your help...

Re: Donald Livingstone

Another data point on an Alexander Livingstone. The 1841 Scottish Census lists an "Alexander Livingstone," then age 55. His birth is "estimated" to be 1786. His birthplace was Argyllshire, parish "Monvern," county "Argyllshire." (He would have been about 31 if...
