Ferguson connection

On the subject of a Livingstone/Ferguson connection, I have the following, both at 67-5;
Gregory Arthur Ferguson, oldest known relation, Duncan Ferguson, 1796-1875, Islay & Mellis Douglas Ferguson, no details on family.
I also have a known Ferguson relation from Islay, see DNA topic.
I don't know if this will be of any help in establishing a link between the families or not,
