The truth comes out, Ginger! I won't tell you which, though.

Margaret sent me a recipe book from Scotland of dishes made with Scotch Whisky :D
She sent many other things too because she's my Scottish Angel...but, alas, I am off now to find a "Well hung pheasant".

I don't know. The fruit was pretty chunky. It was really easy to do by hand.

Looks like it's time I found my book of old Scottish recipes too that I brought home with me - but what I'd really like to make is Edinburgh Rock - that has to be my favourite.

I really enjoyed eating both raspberries and salmon when I was in Scotland - not that we don't get them here, but they just seemed nicer.

We get haggis quite a lot over here (Edinburgh of the South of course) - whenever we have a conference dinner they bring out the trusty haggis. One of the butchers here makes quite a few of them.

And I noticed Nick Nairn mentioned earlier - well I did 3 days at his cooking school while there in 2004 and boy did I enjoy that - a couple of the days were focused on modern Scottish cooking - but the scallops were to die for, and his home smoked salmon - oh boy!!

Okay, got to stop this salivating and do something about it.

I did the recipe of Jills out of the Parnassus tonight. I used blueberries because that is what I had and I also used the optional honey and it is awesome!
