Clan Society Formation

Post by Kyle MacLea »

Dear Forum,

Behind the scenes, we've been discussing formation of the Clan Society for some time. I know there is general agreement that getting something up and off the ground this year during the Year of Homecoming would be especially appropriate. It might be rudimentary at this point, but I'd love to start something if we can.

We need to start making some decisions about this and probably soon if we're going to start this year. Should we do this on the Forum, or should we do it via email? David and I have put together a couple of revisions to a proposal. I think the operative thing is to make it simple--not more complex than it needs to be, nor with layers of hierarchy that we don't yet need as an organization. My initial proposal and even my revision may fall in the category of too complex. Ultimately, we don't need much to start things up, so maybe should start with those things we really need.

The first thing was this update to the Forum--a very big step. Are we ready to take the next one?
