family castle

Post by Canadian Livingstone »

Thought I read somewhere in one the articles on the Doctor's family that his father or the Doctor himself had for a time dropped the e. I might have the source, but with two massive binders of documents I could spend a lifetime finding it. All of which is why I spent the afternoon listening to the Moody Blues trying to sort out some of more interesting bits of research material in the binders. Found yet another Dunslea Maconlea or some such name from the 1660's that I had not seen before in any Maclea or Livingstone sites. I am going to go back to the source and try to find out where he originated in the highlands. One of the Dunslea Maconlea's was killed at Dunaverty in the 1640's according to the Young Bachuil. Seemed to be a popular name in the 1600's among our people I suspect. Sounds an awful lot like Dunnsliebhe to me.
