John Livingstone and Flora McKinnon of Tobermory, Kilninian Parish Mull

There is unfortunately not a lot of info in the Church of Scotland Parish records from Argyllshire, Scotland that I could find regarding John Livingstone and Flora McKinnon who lived in Tobermory, Kilninian Parish, Mull, Argyll Scotland in the early 1800's. The Kilninian Parish Church of Scotland records in Mull merely recorded that " John Levingston from Tobermory and Flora McKinnon were publicly married December 29, 1807." I could find only one record regarding their children which stated "Hugh Livingstone and Flory McKinnon had baptized a son Hugh February 7, 1815".

This son Hugh Livingston I believe in the 1840's with his wife Margaret McQuarrie settled in Ontario and lived for many years in Bentinck Township, Grey County, Ontario. Hugh Livingston age 68 died in 1883 in Betilinck Township, Grey County, Ontario according to his death record and gravestone info. I noticed that Hugh Livingstone and Margaret McQuarrie named their first child born in Ontario "Flory" I assume after Hugh Livingstone's mother. Hugh Livingstone is buried in Rocky Saugeen Cemetery in Grey County, Ontario and died on February 10, 1883 in Bentinck Township, Grey County, Ontario at the age of 68 according to his gravestone.

I realize there some debate as to who his parents in Mull, Argyll, Scotland were. I think that both his 1883 death record and his gravestone info confirm that he died in 1883 at the age of 68 suggesting that he probably was born in 1815 and most likely I would think it helps to reinforce the notion that Hugh Livingstone 1815-1883 of Bentinck Township, Grey County, Ontario is most likely the Hugh Livingston who was born in 1815 in Tobermory, Kilninian Parish, Mull and baptized on February 7, 1815 in Kilninian Parish the son of John Livingstone and Flora McKinnon residents of Tobermory in Mull, Argyllshire, Scotland.
